What would Captain Cool's birthday gift to himself be? A new Mercedes-Benz, of course! That is what "Triumph In The Skies II" actor, Julian Cheung bought for himself for his 42nd birthday on 27 August.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor and his wife Anita Yuen was recently spotted heading to Tsim Sha Tsui in his brand new HKD 2.5 million (app. USD 322,360) silver Mercedes-Benz sports car to meet up friends for a meal.
Despite wearing shades, the actor was unsuccessful in preventing fans from recognising him and asking him for a photo opportunity. Julian was even offered a fresh cup of soy milk from a nearby noodle shop when being told that it was his birthday.
When asked about his birthday plans, Julian said, "We don't have anything big planned for tonight. I have already celebrated my birthday with friends earlier and ate a lot of cake!"
Meanwhile, his wife turned to Weibo to wish her husband a happy birthday and uploaded a photo of Julian with his new car.
The actor also shared his birthday wish online, and joked, "I hope to never gain weight no matter how much I eat."
