Tony Leung Ka-fai wins CFMA's Best Actor

Tony Leung Ka-fai has added another accolade to his resume, as 55-year-old actor recently won another Best Actor award at the 13th Chinese Film Media Award.

As reported on Sina, at the award show that was held in Quanzhou on 17 August, Tony, who won the same award seven years ago for his role in "Election", beat the other nominees to win the Best Actor award for his work in "Cold War". The movie also won him the Best Actor accolade at the Hong Kong Film Award a few months back.

Upon receiving the award from actress Josie Ho, the emotional Tony expressed, "The two of us have worked together in a movie before. Thank you very much for voting for me. In the future I will work with even more new directors."

Meanwhile, Chapman To, who chose to celebrate his mother's birthday rather than attend the event, was named Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Diva".

However, the actor did record a video of his speech saying, "I am very honoured. I have been too busy with film productions this year, and haven't had time to dine with my mother, so I have to be with her on her birthday, though not being able to personally accept the award is very regrettable [...] This is the third time for me to win an award for this movie. When a comedy actor wins an award, to me it is also a comedy."
