TVB will resolve 2013 issues for a smoother 2014 line-up

More information has been revealed regarding TVB's 2014 programme line-up.

According to Xinhua website, in addition to the participation of major movie stars in several programmes, TVB's Assistant General Manager Peter Au recently revealed that they will also be catering to viewers and artistes' demands alike.

With several TVB series suffered from poor ratings and numerous complaints from viewers in the first half of 2013, the station will be making several changes to its policies, including ensuring that they will not be using the same artistes for series that are airing in the same season.

Seeing that series like "Bullet Brain" and "Beauty At War" were not popular among viewers, Peter stated, "We will commit to what the viewers like instead of producers' own tastes. Sometimes what they like isn't what the audience wants to see, so next year we will eliminate series that pick the viewers' brains, and give more focus on comedies and martial arts series."

Meanwhile, in regards to the piecemeal scripts and last minute changes that were pointed by actress Sheren Tang, Peter revealed that new policies will be made to improve the situation such as a new rule that only scripts that have at least 80 percent completion can begin production.
